Start your yoga journey here! This 90 minute workshop is designed to help you become familiar with basic yoga postures, breathing techniques, and alignment recommendations. If you've been curious about yoga, but maybe a little intimidated walking into a regular class, this workshop is for you. At Explorer Yoga, your age, size, shape, and fitness level don't matter...if you can breathe, move, and notice what happens, you can practice yoga! Teacher: Denise Ruby

Intro to Yoga

Join us for our monthly restorative session and take some time to de-stress and recharge your batteries! Restorative yoga uses long-held, supported resting poses to create the conditions for us to cultivate the skill of conscious relaxation and most importantly to release unnecessary habitual tension in the body and mind. Class will include gentle stretches on the floor at the beginning of class, mindful breathing, guided imagery, and meditation. We’ll use blankets and bolsters (cushions) for maximum comfort and relaxation. This class is perfect for ALL levels of physical ability. Wear comfy clothes and feel free to bring your favorite pillow or blanket.

Do you ever feel like you’re not “living" in the moment?

Does life seem chaotic?

Do you wonder when life will become less busy?

This workshop can offer you tools to feel calmer and more connected to yourself. When you feel supported by the practices taught during this workshop, life may seem less stressful and more enjoyable.

An introduction to breath work and meditation, this workshop offers ways to incorporate brief and easy to remember practices into your daily life. Meditation experience is not required. Students will have the option of sitting on the floor or in a chair. 

This event will be led by Columbus-based yoga teacher Elizabeth Wood, who enjoys sharing breathing and meditation practices with students to encourage gentle yet persistent self-care.

Each attendee will receive a take-home meditation kit.
